God, May Peace Come

With the lighting of the peace candle,

we pray each month for God's merciful peace

to come to the peoples of a nation,

or a region of our globe.

Where there is violence done through war, God, may peace come.

Where there is violence done through termoil, God, may peace come.

Where there is violence done through strife, God, may peace come.
